Overview
Kitchen design and layout planning in Virginia, Maryland and DC
A kitchen remodel is usually the project that changes how the rest of the main floor works. Virginia Pro Remodel plans the layout first, then the cabinetry, mechanical work and finishes follow from it. That order keeps decisions in a sensible sequence and avoids the reworks that happen when finishes are chosen before the plan is settled.
We handle the full project: demolition, framing changes, electrical and plumbing rough-in, cabinetry, counters, tile, flooring, lighting, appliance coordination, inspections and final punch list.
Common issues
Common kitchen remodeling problems we solve
- Closed-off kitchens that separate cooking from family and guests
- Not enough counter landing space beside the range and refrigerator
- Storage that forces small appliances onto the counter
- Poor lighting, especially over work surfaces
- Traffic paths that run straight through the cooking zone
- Aging plumbing, wiring or ventilation hidden behind finishes
Design options
What's possible in a kitchen remodeling project
- Removing a wall to open the kitchen to dining and living space
- Islands and peninsulas sized for seating without crowding walkways
- Full-height pantry and appliance storage
- Layered lighting: recessed, under-cabinet and decorative
- Coffee stations, beverage centers and homework zones
- Relocated sinks, ranges and refrigerators when the plan justifies it
